Introduction to In The Harbor

TrailerApril 8, 2025·3:46

Never miss a conversation

New episodes every other week. Follow wherever you listen.

The hosts

Jason Johns & Sean Ritchlin

Jason hosts In The Harbor from Rock Harbor's office in Birmingham, Michigan. Sean founded the firm and calls college hockey for ESPN — the two of them built the show around the overlap.

His guests have included a former Blackstone chief investment strategist, an economist who called the 2008 crisis, an ESPN anchor, an Olympic rower, and a founder who built a Polish potato vodka he now sells across the country.

The through-line is always the same: what did it actually take. Not the polished version.

More about the show →

Markets worth understanding

Private credit, AI and inflation, Bitcoin ETFs, RIA fees, and the Great Wealth Transfer — explained by people who manage money for a living.

Operators who built something

Founders and executives on the unglamorous mechanics of selling a business, hiring well, and surviving a category shift.

Sports and the life around it

Hockey, golf, rowing and the leisure businesses that grew out of them — because the people in finance are rarely only in finance.
