Jay Feely spent over a decade in the NFL as a kicker, playing for the Atlanta Falcons, New York Giants, Kansas City Chiefs, and Arizona Cardinals after his time at the University of Michigan. Now, he's traded the football field for the political arena, having just won his primary race for Arizona's 1st Congressional District.
In this episode, Jay sits down with the In The Harbor crew to talk about what drove him from professional sports into public service, how the discipline of being an NFL kicker prepared him for the grind of a political campaign, and what he hopes to accomplish if elected.
Whether you're a football fan, a political junkie, or just someone who appreciates a good second-act story, this conversation covers a lot of ground.
